Burglary

Around 2:30pm on Wednesday, Police received a report of a burglary at a Spice Hill Road, Warwick residence. The complainant stated that sometime between 10am and 2pm that day, an unknown culprit gained entry into the home while it was unoccupied. The culprit stole a silver 40” – 50” flat screen TV. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Around 10:50am on Wednesday, Police received a report of a burglary at a Paget guest property. On arrival at the scene a short time later officers spoke with the complainants who are visitors to the island. The couple stated that around 4:30am that day they were awoken by a loud noise inside their accommodation. When the male complainant went to investigate, he discovered that an unknown individual had gained entry and removed his wife’s large black handbag. The handbag contained a quantity of cash and personal items. The handbag was subsequently recovered with the cash inside but missing a few personal items. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Injury RTC

Around 4:15pm on Wednesday, Police attended a reported road traffic collision resulting in injury on Victoria Street in Pembroke near the junction with Washington Street South involving a motorcycle and a pedestrian. It appears that the pedestrian, a 7 year old Smith’s parish girl, was crossing the street when she was struck by the motorcycle, which had overtaken a line of stationary traffic in the westbound lane. As a result the 7 year old girl sustained a fractured left leg and the rider of the cycle, a 20 year old Hamilton parish man, sustained a laceration to his left hand, bruising to his right forearm and pain to his right ankle. The cycle received minor damage. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Around 8:40pm on Wednesday, Police received a report of a vehicle taken without its owner’s consent. The complainant stated that sometime between 8am and 6pm on Monday an unknown culprit removed the car, a silver Volkswagen Polo license #34937 from outside a South Road, Paget residence. Inquiries into this incident are underway. Police are appealing for anyone with any information on the whereabouts of this silver Volkswagen Polo, license #34937, to contact the Roads Policing Unit on 295-0011.
