Theft of Christmas Trees

Around 9 this morning, Police received a report of a Christmas tree being stolen from outside a Tranquility Hill, Sandy’s parish residence. The complainant stated that sometime between 10:15pm on Tuesday and 8:15am on Wednesday, an unknown culprit removed the Christmas tree from her porch.

At 6:45pm on Tuesday, Police received a report of a Christmas tree being stolen from outside a Friendly Lane, Sandy’s parish residence. The complainant stated that sometime between 1:30pm and 3pm that day, an unknown culprit removed an 8’ Christmas tree from his porch.

Injury RTC

Around 3:25pm on Sunday, Police attended a reported road traffic collision resulting in injury on Middle Road in Paget near the junction with Cedars Drive involving a car and two motorcycles. It appears that all three vehicles were traveling east on Middle Road, with the car in front of the two cycles. The car slowed due to an oncoming vehicle in the westbound lane escorting a large tractor trailer and the first motorcycle collided with the rear of the car. The second cycle then collided with the first cycle, causing both cycles to fall to the ground. The rider of the first cycle, a 38 year old Smith’s parish man, sustained a broken lower right leg; the rider of the second cycle, an 18 year old Warwick woman sustained soreness to the chest and right knee while her pillion passenger, also an 18 year old Warwick woman, sustained soreness to the left knee and ankle. The driver of the car, a 48 year old Pembroke man, was not injured. The car received minor rear end damage while the cycles received minor front end damage and moderate front end damage respectively. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

All incidents are under investigation.
