Around 3pm Thursday, February 6th first responders were dispatched to a reported serious collision on South Road in Warwick in the vicinity of Marley Beach. Details are limited at this time; however the collision apparently involved a truck and a motorcycle.

Motorists are advised to avoid the area if possible and traffic diversions will be in place until collision investigators complete their inquiries. A further update will be provided when more details are available.

Update: The section of South Road in Warwick near Marley Beach cordoned off after a reported serious collision around 3pm has since been re-opened to normal traffic flow. At last check the injured motorcycle rider, believed to be a male, was in critical condition at the hospital. Inquiries into this collision are ongoing and any witnesses are encouraged to contact the Roads Policing Unit on 295-0011.
