Traffic Advisory: Reported Serious Collision in Southampton [Update]

Around 8am Friday, May 22nd a reported serious collision occurred on Middle Road in Southampton, apparently near the junction with Industrial Park Road, involving a truck and a motorcycle.
Details are limited at this time; however it appears that the motorcyclist involved sustained serious injuries and has been taken to hospital via ambulance for treatment.
There are major traffic delays in the area, with commuters being diverted along the Railway Trail.
Therefore motorists are advised to avoid the Middle Road, Industrial Park Road Southampton area until further notice if possible.
Meanwhile, a second collision occurred with a rental cycle and the ambulance transporting the injured individual from the first incident.
The rental cycle rider apparently sustained leg injuries, which are not believed to be life threatening at this time.
Inquiries into these collisions are underway and an update on the condition of the injured riders will be provided when more details are available.
Update: Motorists are advised that the section of road temporarily closed off due to a reported serious collision in the Middle Road, Industrial Park Road Southampton area earlier this morning has since been re-opened to normal traffic flow.
