Reported Serious Collision in Southampton

Around 3:15pm on Monday, June 29th first responders were dispatched to a reported serious collision on Middle Road in Southampton near the junction with Scenic Heights Pass.
It appears that a car and a rental cycle were traveling in opposite directions when they collided.
Apparently the rider and pillion passenger of the rental cycle both believed to be male visitors, were injured and taken to hospital via ambulance for treatment.
The extent of their injuries is unknown at this time; however an update on their condition will be given when more details are available.
The Forensic Support Unit and a Traffic Collision Investigator attended to process the scene and inquiries regarding this collision are underway.
Traffic in the area of Camp Hill and Scenic Heights Pass was initially diverted away from the area; however normal traffic flow has now resumed along that section of Middle Road, Southampton.
