Man Injured in Road Traffic Collision

Around 3:00am this morning, [August 25 2015] a 25yr old male motorcyclist was found lying unconscious with apparent facial injuries on North Shore Road near the junction with Jennings Road, Smiths. 

Although details surrounding this incident are vague, it is believed that the man was travelling east along North Shore Road, when he lost control of his cycle and collided with a wall.

The man was taken to KEMH where at last check he was being treated for serious facial and head injuries.

Police are asking for anyone who may have witnessed this accident, or anyone who can provide details of the victim’s movements prior to the accident, to call 295-0011. 

Meanwhile, around 2:00pm on August 24 2015, a visiting couple was travelling south on Duke of Clarence Street in St Georges, when two men on a motorcycle travelling in the opposite direction snatched a purse containing the victims cell phone and other personal items from the basket of the couples rental cycle.  

The suspects were described as being black males in their late teens, wearing dark clothing and black helmets on a black scooter type bike.
