Around 9:45pm on Thursday, October 20th police and first responders were dispatched to a reported two vehicle collision on South Road in Devonshire near the junction with Melville Crescent.

Details remain unclear at this time. However, it appears that a car being driven along South Road struck a utility pole before colliding with another car being driven in the opposite direction.

The driver of the first car, an 84 year old Paget woman and her passenger, a 90 year old Paget man, were injured. At last check she was in the Intensive Care Unit in stable condition while he was in stable condition on a general ward at the hospital.

Both vehicles were damaged and a 39 year old Sandys parish man was arrested on suspicion of impaired driving in connection with the incident.
