At 6:37pm on Thursday 28th November 2019, police received a report of a single vehicle road traffic collision on Dutton Avenue in Pembroke.

A sixteen year old male was reportedly riding his motorcycle along Dutton Avenue near the junction with North Street, when he came into contact with string from a kite.

The bike rider sustained serious lacerations to the neck from the kite string.

He also sustained cuts and bruises to his right hand, right leg and right foot, after he lost control of the bike and crashed.

The victim was assisted at the scene by the person flying the kite and subsequently taken to hospital for treatment to his injuries
