Man Hurt in Disturbance at St. George’s Cricket Club Treated & Discharged

It has been confirmed that a 22 year old man hurt in a disturbance at St. George’s Cricket Club that occurred around 11pm Sunday, July 14th was transported to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance, treated and later discharged.

A 32 year old man was arrested for assault on police during the incident.

Inquiries continue and any witnesses or members of the public with relevant information are now encouraged to call the Criminal Investigation Department on 247-1744 or the independent and anonymous Crime Stoppers hotline 800-8477 as soon as possible.

Driver Stable in ICU After Two Car Collision on South Road in Paget

At last check this morning (July 15th) the 58 year old male driver injured in a two car collision that occurred around 2:40am Sunday, July 14th on South Road in Paget, near the junction with Happy Talk Lane, was listed in stable condition in the hospital’s Intensive Care Unit.

The other driver involved, a 32 year old man, was treated for his injuries, discharged and later arrested on suspicion of impaired driving.

Inquiries continue and any witnesses are still asked to call the main police telephone number 295-0011 at the earliest opportunity.

Off Duty Male Police Officer, 22, Now Stable on a General Ward

At last check this morning (July 15th) the 22 year old off duty male Constable seriously injured in a single vehicle motorcycle crash that occurred around 2:45am Sunday, June 23rd on Crow Lane in Pembroke was listed in stable condition on a general ward at the hospital, after initially receiving treatment in the Intensive Care Unit.

Upcoming Road Sobriety Checkpoints: July 19th – 21st

The Bermuda Police Service would like to advise the public that the next series of road sobriety checkpoints (as specified in the Official Gazette Notice Thursday, July 11th) will be conducted starting Friday, July 19th.

The checkpoints will be in effect in Hamilton parish, Devonshire, Pembroke, Paget, Warwick and Southampton on Friday, July 19th, Saturday, July 20th and Sunday, July 21st.


All incidents are under investigation. Police are appealing to members of the public who have witnessed these incidents or may have information pertaining to them to contact their respective Police Station, Police Headquarters at 295-0011 or the confidential Crimestoppers Hotline on 1 (800) 623-8477.
