Reported Assault of 63 Year Old Man in St. George’s, 2 Men Arrested [Updated]

Around 12:45pm today (February 17th) police and fellow first responders were dispatched to a reported assault in the Railway Trail, Mullet Bay Road St. George’s area.

Details are limited at this time. However, initial information suggests that a 63 year old man was assaulted by three other men brandishing bladed articles.

Apparently the 63 year old man sustained injuries to his mouth.

A 51 year old man and a 50 year old man were subsequently arrested in connection with this incident.

At this time the third suspect has not been located.

Update: Thursday, February 21st - A 51 year old man and a 50 year old man arrested in connection with the assault of a 63 year old man around 12:45pm Sunday, February 17th in the Railway Trail, Mullet Bay Road St. George’s area have been released on police bail pending further inquiries.

31 Year Old Man Arrested on Woodlands Road in Pembroke

A 31 year old man was arrested around 11pm Saturday, February 16th on Woodlands Road in Pembroke after police officers monitoring the end of a football match at Bermuda Athletic Association’s Goose Gosling Field observed suspicious behaviour.

When approached by police, the man ran from a section of bleachers on to Woodlands Road, where he was eventually apprehended with a quantity of suspected drugs as well as a bladed article.

He was later released on police bail pending further inquiries.

Any witnesses or members of the public with relevant information regarding suspicious activity at Goose Gosling Field during Saturday night’s football match are encouraged to call the main police telephone number 295-0011 at the earliest opportunity.


All incidents are under investigation.
