Central CAT Assist With Pembroke Park Clean Up

On Saturday the 12th of January 2013 officers from the Central Community Action Team joined local residents and volunteers to assist in a clean-up of the Parsons Road playground and surrounding areas organised by Keep Bermuda Beautiful (K.B.B.) and its Executive Director Ms. Anne Hyde.

This area has been subject to many complaints in recent months, particularly with it being an area frequented by the area's young people, leading to KBB mobilising the community in order to tackle the problem. Sergeant Scott Devine of the Community Action Team said, “KBB have been a great supporter of the work being done in the communities and its only right that we come out and offer our support. This area has been a concern for some time so we’re glad to be able to come out and support residents in their efforts to take ownership of the area and tackle neighbourhood decay.”

All incidents are under investigation. Police are appealing to members of the public who have witnessed these incidents or may have information pertaining to them to contact their respective Police Station, Police Headquarters at 295-0011 or the confidential Crimestoppers Hotline on 1 (800) 623-8477.
