Damage Only RTC/Impaired Driving

Tue, 2005-03-15

At 5:40pm on Tuesday, Police attended a reported single vehicle damage only road traffic collision at the junction of Harrington Sound Road and Walsingham Lane in Hamilton parish. It appears that the car, a Daihatsu Charade, was traveling west on Harrington Sound Road when the driver lost control of the vehicle near the junction with Walsingham Lane and collided with a utility pole. The car sustained extensive frontal damage as a result; however the driver, a 73 year old Smith’s parish man, was not injured. The Smith’s parish man was subsequently arrested for impaired driving.

Advisory

The Marine Police are advising all mariners to check their moorings and vessels, as there have been several reports of boats breaking their moorings and/or taking on water following the recent high winds and rough seas. We would also like to remind all boat owners that as of April 1, their vessels must display the correct decals for 2005. For more information on this and other marine related matters, click here.
