Robbery

At 1:45 this morning, Police received a report of a robbery on Glebe Road in Pembroke. The victims, a 16 year old Warwick boy and a 17 year old Warwick boy stated that around 10:30pm on Monday, they were standing on Glebe Road across from Victor Scott Primary School when six young men on three auxiliary cycles stopped beside them. One of the men told the victims they were going to take a green Suzuki RC 50, which belonged to the 16 year old and was parked on the side of the road. The 17 year old replied, “No you’re not”; however one of the suspects brandished a machete, causing the two young men to flee on foot. The suspects then took the Suzuki auxiliary cycle (license #338Y) and also made good their escape. The victims were not injured during this incident. The suspects are described as six males wearing black clothing and black sneakers. The suspects were riding two orange Yamaha V50s and a silver Peugeot Luxor. Inquiries into this incident are underway. Police are appealing for any witnesses or anyone with any information to contact the Hamilton Criminal Investigation Unit on 295-0011.

Breaking & Entering

At 4:30 this morning, Police attended a reported breaking and entering at a Paget guest property. On arrival officers spoke with the complainant, who is a visitor to the island. She stated that sometime between 2am and 4am today, an unknown culprit gained entry into her room. The culprit stole several pieces of jewelry and $350 in cash. Inquiries into this incident are underway.
