Robbery - Around 9:40am on Saturday, Police received a report of a robbery at Card Cove in the City of Hamilton. Officers arrived at the scene a short time later. It appears that around 9:30am that day an unknown man entered the store and approached the cashier. The suspect brandished a bladed article before taking a quantity of money from the cash register and making good his escape on Queen Street. The cashier, an 85 year old Devonshire woman and a customer who was in the store at the time, a 76 year old Paget woman, were not injured. Inquiries into this incident are underway. Police are appealing for any witnesses to this incident or anyone with any information to contact the Hamilton Criminal Investigation Unit on 295-0011.
