Around 2:10pm today, Police arrested a 26 year old Pembroke man on Parsons Road in Pembroke following a stand off in the Spanish Point, Pembroke area. The Pembroke man is a person of interest in an ongoing investigation and was believed to be hiding in a house in the Spanish Point area earlier in the day. Police, including armed officers, attended the residence and eventually entered the premises to find the 26 year old man was not there - but subsequently located him on Parsons Road and took him into Police custody. The Bermuda Police Service would like to thank the residents of the Spanish Point area in particular as well as motorists traveling in the area for their patience and co-operation during the incident.
