Fatal RTC - At 11:40pm on Saturday, Police received a report of a serious road traffic collision in the area of Somerset Road and Scaur Hill Drive in Sandys parish. Details about the collision are unclear at the moment; however it appears that a car and a motorcycle were involved. As a result the rider of the motorcycle, a 23 year old Sandys parish man, received multiple injuries and was taken to KEMH via ambulance. He subsequently succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead by an on call physician at 2:33am Sunday. Inquiries into this incident are underway. No further information will be released until the next of kin has been notified.

Injury RTC

At 12:15pm on Friday, Police attended a reported single vehicle road traffic collision resulting in injury on Harbour Road in Paget near Lower Ferry. It appears that a car was traveling west on Harbour Road when the vehicle’s left hand mirror clipped the wall. As a result the driver, a 59 year old Warwick woman, lost control and the car collided with another wall. The Warwick woman received bruising to her knees and right ankle. She was taken to KEMH via ambulance, treated and released. The car received extensive front end damage while the wall received moderate damage. Traffic was diverted for approximately an hour.
