Robbery - Around 12:20am today, Police received a report of a robbery on Camp Hill in Southampton. The victim, a 39 year old Southampton man, stated that he was walking up Camp Hill when he was approached by an unknown man who brandished a bladed article and demanded money. The Southampton man handed over his backpack and the offender then made good his escape on foot along the Railway Trail. The victim was not injured. The backpack contained a wallet, a small quantity of cash and personal items. The suspect is described as a light skinned male, approximately 5’9” tall of slim build wearing a white T-shirt, light coloured shorts and a white head wrap. Inquiries into this incident are underway. Police are appealing for any witnesses or anyone with any information to contact the Somerset Criminal Investigation Unit on 234-1010.
