Injury RTC - Around 6:35pm on Thursday, officers from the Roads Policing Unit were conducting laser speed checks on Middle Road in Smith’s parish when a motorcycle was clocked at 80 km/h. As a result Police began to follow the motorcycle in an attempt to get the rider to pull over. However the rider of the motorcycle, a 20 year old Hamilton parish man, continued to travel at speed and in a dangerous manner. The motorcyclist then entered Harrington Sound Road and accelerated, still riding in a dangerous manner. As the motorcycle approached the junction with Harrington Hundreds Road, the rider lost control and collided with a wooden stump. The Hamilton parish man was ejected from the motorcycle and landed some distance away, while the motorcycle ended up in a nearby hedge. He was taken to KEMH via ambulance for treatment of his injuries (facial injuries and abrasions to the body) and is currently in stable condition on a general ward. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Burglary

Around 10:30pm on Thursday, Police received a report of a burglary at a Marsh Folly Road, Pembroke residence. The complainant stated that she and her family returned home to find an unknown man exiting the premises. Some of the family members gave chase; however, the culprit was able to make good his escape with a laptop computer. The suspect is described as a dark brown skinned male, approximately 5’7” tall with low cut curly hair; he was wearing an off white shirt, blue jeans, has a gold tooth and is believed to be in his mid 40s. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Around 2:15pm on Thursday, Police received a report of a burglary at a Trimingham Hill, Paget residence. It appears that sometime overnight an unknown culprit gained entry into the home. The culprit stole a quantity of cash. Inquiries into this incident are underway.
