Today, Wolde Gardener was sentenced in Supreme Ct #1 in relation to the Premeditated Murder of Malcolm Augustus which occurred on Christmas Day 2012. Gardener was sentenced by Judge Simmons to the following:

Premeditated Murder : Life

Using Firearm to Commit an Indictable Offence : 20 years ( 2nd offence)

As Gardener is currently serving a Life sentence for the murder of George Lynch and as there is no provision in law to impose consecutive life sentences, the life sentence will run concurrent with the Lynch murder, however, he will serve 20 years consecutive to commence at the end of the 25 years sentence. This means that Gardener will have to serve 45 years before he is eligible for parole.
