Witness Appeal: Reported Disturbance on Railway Trail in Warwick

Detectives are currently investigating the circumstances of a reported disturbance that apparently occurred along the Railway Trail in Warwick near Pearman’s Hill around 7:45pm Tuesday, March 14th.

Details are limited at this time. However a 19 year old Pembroke man believed to be involved in the disturbance was later admitted to the hospital’s Intensive Care Unit with a head injury.

At last check earlier this morning (March 15th) he remained in ICU under observation.

Reported Attempted Robbery

Around 3pm on Tuesday, March 14th police received a report of an attempted robbery.

It appears that around 8:30pm Monday, March 13th two men got out of a taxi in the Deepdale Road West, Pembroke area when they were accosted by two unknown males.

Apparently the suspects – described as slim, dark complexioned males approximately 5 feet 10 inches tall wearing hooded sweatshirts – brandished stun guns and demanded money before making good their escape on foot empty handed.

There were no reported injuries and inquiries continue.
