Around 7:15pm on Saturday 29th July, Jahkoby Smith was fatally stabbed after he was involved in an altercation which took place at the West End Sailboat Club, Sandys, during a wake being held for the late Jachari Francis.

Police continue to appeal for witnesses to this incident. Anyone who may have information, particularly anyone who was at the West End Sailboat Club or in the general vicinity around the time of the incident or anyone knowing the movements of Jahkoby Smith prior to this incident, is urged to contact Detective Sergeant Dean Martin of the Serious Crime Unit on 247-1739 or the confidential Crime Stoppers hotline on 800-8477.

Sudden Death

Police responded to a report of an incident that took place at the American International Building in Pembroke at 7:30am this morning (Friday). It appears that a 51 year old male was found in a non-responsive state on the grounds of the property. The man was conveyed to the hospital where he was subsequently pronounced dead. No further information will be given until the next of kin has been notified and foul play is not suspected.
