Two Men Injured in Paget Collision [Updated]

Around 8:30am today (Wednesday, October 19th) police and first responders were dispatched to a reported two vehicle collision on South Road in Paget near the junction with Tribe Road No. 5.

Details remain unclear at this time. However, it appears that a motorcycle and an auxiliary cycle being ridden in opposite directions along South Road between Elbow Beach and Coral Beach collided.

The rider of the motorcycle, a 43 year old Sandys parish man apparently received a serious leg injury while his pillion passenger, a 37 year old Warwick woman, was not injured.

The auxiliary cycle rider, a 48 year old Sandys parish man, was also said to have sustained a serious leg injury.

Morning commuters in that area experienced traffic diversions and delays while the relevant police personnel processed the scene.

At last check the motorcyclist, a 43 year old Sandys parish man, was in stable condition at the Intensive Care Unit while the auxiliary cycle rider, a 48 year old Sandys parish man, was in stable condition on a general ward.
