Ten Motorists Arrested on Suspicion of Impaired Driving

Wed, 2019-01-02

A total of 10 motorists were arrested on suspicion of impaired driving from Friday night (December 28th 2018) until Tuesday night (January 1st 2019).

More than half of those arrested were caught at road sobriety checkpoints.

The main objectives of the road sobriety checkpoints are to help make the roads safer and ultimately save lives.

While there are no road sobriety checkpoints scheduled for this coming weekend, members of the public are urged not to drive or ride under the influence as police officers conducting their regular patrols will be on the lookout for any offences, including impaired driving.
