Suspect Arrested in Connection With Smith's Parish Aggravated Burglary

A 36-year-old suspect has been arrested in relation to the aggravated burglary & sexual assault at a Smith’s Parish residence yesterday, Tuesday 19th October.

Detectives are continuing their inquiry and are still appealing for anyone who may have seen two persons fitting the following descriptions, particularly in the areas of Knapton Hill, Harrington Hundreds, South Road Smith’s, and Summerhaven, to get in contact with us.

The first suspect was described as a black male, approximately 6ft tall, skinny built and wearing a black rain suit.

The second suspect was described only as a black male, approximately 5’ 8’’ tall, with a moustache.

We are very keen to hear from anyone who may have seen, or has camera footage covering these areas between 11am & 12pm 19th October, 2021.

These times are the most important, but may extend outside these times as well.

Update: Friday, 5th NovemberThe Bermuda Police Service (BPS), would like to thank the public for their continued assistance with the investigation into the aggravated burglary/sexual assault which occurred in Smith's Parish on Tuesday 19th October, 2021.

Two arrests have been made in connection with this matter.

On Friday 29th October, 2021, a 20-year-old man was arrested and the public will recall another male suspect was arrested on the day the incident occurred.

Both men have since been bailed to return to Hamilton Police Station at a later date, whilst the investigation continues.

Detectives are still keen to hear from anyone who knows anything about this brutal attack, and home invasion. We still need your help.
