The Bermuda Police Service can now confirm the death of 69 year old Mr. Howard Charles and extends sincere condolences to his family and friends.

Mr. Charles was seriously injured in an incident that occurred around 3:20pm today (March 8th) on Brighton Hill Road in Devonshire involving the carriage he was driving, pulled by two horses.

He was rushed to hospital via ambulance but sadly, later pronounced dead.

Traffic diversions in the Brighton Hill Road, Middle Road Devonshire area are no longer in effect and the investigation continues regarding the circumstances of this incident.
