Sudden Death of Infant

Around 4:30pm today (March 19th) police and first responders received a report of an unresponsive infant at a Swansbay Hill, Pembroke residence.

Details are limited at this time. However the infant, believed to be a 3 month old boy, was rushed to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance but sadly, later pronounced dead.

No further information regarding the deceased child will be provided at this time, until next of kin have been notified.

Renewed Appeal for Witnesses: Two Men in Front Street Altercation

At last check this evening (March 19th) the 30 year old man seriously injured in an altercation with another man on Front Street around 3:15am Sunday March 18th remained in critical condition in the hospital’s Intensive Care Unit and the 25 year old man arrested in connection with the matter remained in police custody as the investigation continues. 

Detectives are renewing their appeal for people who were in the Front Street area near Cosmopolitan Nightclub at the time of the altercation to come forward.
