Single Vehicle Motorcycle Collision in Hamilton Parish

Around 6:30pm on Sunday, October 26th first responders were dispatched to a reported single vehicle motorcycle collision on North Shore Road in Hamilton parish near the junction with Radnor Road.

It appears that a motorcyclist was riding along North Shore Road when he collided with the curb. The 40 year old Pembroke man was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment of a leg injury.

Inquiries regarding this collision are ongoing and any witnesses should contact PC Stephen Millar at the Southside Police Station on telephone number 293-2222.

Two Vehicle Damage Only Collision in Pembroke

Around 1am on Saturday, October 25th police officers were dispatched to a reported two vehicle damage only collision on Union Street in Pembroke near the junction with Elliot Street.

It appears that a car was being driven along Union Street when a collision occurred with a parked car. There were no reported injuries; however both vehicles were damaged.

The driver, a 38 year old St. George’s woman, was arrested on suspicion of impaired driving. A court appearance is anticipated in due course.

Weekend Police Activity

Over the weekend police officers arrested one person on suspicion of impaired driving as the Selective Traffic Enforcement Programme (STEP) continues.

Officers also arrested three people for outstanding warrants and conducted liquor license checks at various liquor licensed premises throughout the island.
