Reported Serious Collision in Hamilton Parish [Updated]

First responders attended a report of a road traffic collision that took place around 12:30pm Monday, September 29th on North Shore Road in Hamilton parish, 10 metres east of Coney Island.

Details at this time are sketchy, but it appears that two motorcycles were being ridden in opposite directions along North Shore Road when they collided.

This resulted in both male riders being taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance where early indications are that one of the injured men is in very serious condition while the other man’s condition is currently unknown.

The area has been cordoned off while collision investigators examine the scene. This has resulted in significant delays and traffic being diverted along Wilkinson Avenue.

Update: A 46 year old St. George's man is in critical condition in the ICU with internal injuries and a 55 year old Devonshire man is in stable condition as a result of today's collision in Hamilton parish.

Weekend Police Activity

Over the weekend police officers arrested five people on suspicion of impaired driving as the Selective Traffic Enforcement Programme (STEP) continues.

Officers also arrested 16 people for outstanding warrants and conducted liquor license checks at various liquor licensed premises throughout the island.
