Reported Assault [Updated]

Around 5:30pm on Tuesday, February 7th police and first responders were dispatched to a reported assault.

It appears that an 18 year old Pembroke man walking along The Glebe Road in Pembroke was stabbed by two other young men in what initial information suggests may be a gang related incident.

The teenager was treated at the hospital for his injuries and later discharged.

Inquiries continue and witnesses or anyone with relevant information should contact Acting Detective Inspector Hayden Small at the Criminal Investigation Department on 247-1744.

Update: Two male suspects have been arrested in connection with the reported stabbing of an 18 year old Pembroke man along The Glebe Road in Pembroke around 5:30pm Tuesday, February 7th. A court appearance is anticipated in due course.

Police Assist Cargo Ship After Death of Crew Member

The Bermuda Police Service is assisting the owners of the cargo ship ‘MV Golden Taurus’ that diverted to the Bermuda area recently following the sudden death of a crew member.

Inquiries suggest that there are no suspicious circumstances regarding the death and the necessary arrangements are being coordinated by the local shipping agent.

Witness Appeal: Paget Collision Friday Night

Around 10:30pm on Friday, February 3rd police and first responders were dispatched to a reported collision on Middle Road in Paget, in the vicinity of Fourways Inn.

It appears that two motorcycles being ridden in opposite directions were involved.

A 68 year old Paget man riding one of the two wheeled vehicles as well as the rider and pillion passenger of the other two wheeled vehicle – a 17 year old young man from Sandys parish and a 16 year old young man from Warwick respectively – were injured.

All three were treated at the hospital for their injuries, with the Paget man and Sandys teenager apparently discharged later Friday night, while the Warwick teenager was admitted to a general ward before being discharged Sunday morning (February 5th).

Inquiries continue and any witnesses that have not already come forward or motorists that were traveling in the Middle Road, Paget area near Fourways Inn around 10:30pm Friday, February 3rd should contact the main police telephone number 295-0011.
