Reported Armed Robbery at Ice Queen in Paget

Around 2:45am today (February 1st) police officers responded to a reported armed robbery at Ice Queen in Paget. It appears that three men entered the establishment – with two brandishing knives and one brandishing what appeared to be a firearm – and demanded money.

The perpetrators fled on foot a short time later with a quantity of cash and were described as: approximately 6 feet tall wearing a camouflage coloured helmet with a tinted visor and black hoodie with white writing on the front; approximately 5 feet 6 inches tall wearing a black helmet with a tinted visor and black varsity jacket with white sleeves; and approximately 6 feet tall wearing a black helmet with a tinted visor and all black clothing respectively.

During the incident one of the employees was punched in the face and sustained a cut above his eye. However, he declined medical attention. The scene has been processed and inquiries continue. Man Hurt in Random Lane Disturbance Treated & Discharged

At last check this morning (February 1st) the 26 year old Warwick man hurt in an assault involving three other men that occurred on Random Lane in Warwick around 2:25pm Thursday, January 31st had been treated and discharged from hospital.

It now appears that although a knife was brandished during the assault, a blunt object was used to injure the 26 year old. A 57 year old man and two 20 year old men arrested in connection with this incident remain in police custody pending further inquiries.

62 Year Old Male Pedestrian Struck by Car Stable on General Ward

At last check this morning (February 1st) the 62 year old Hamilton parish man seriously injured when a car struck him as he walked along North Shore Road in Hamilton parish near Trinity Church Road around 3pm Thursday, January 17th was listed in stable condition on a general ward, after initially receiving treatment in the hospital’s Intensive Care Unit.
