Renewed Witness Appeal Regarding First Road Fatality of 2017

The investigation continues regarding the circumstances of the single vehicle fatal motorcycle crash that claimed the life of 62 year old Mr. Terry Simmons.

Officers are pursuing all available lines of enquiry to assist in determining what happened around 12:40am last Thursday on North Shore Road in Hamilton parish near the junction with Radnor Road.

Witnesses that have not yet come forward, motorists or persons in the area around the time of the incident and those familiar with the whereabouts of Mr. Simmons in the hours prior to 12:40am Thursday, January 19th should contact Constable Lisa-Nichole Tucker on the main police telephone number 295-0011 with all relevant information.

Condition Updates on Injured Motorcyclists

At last check earlier today (Thursday, January 26th) the 37 year old Paget man seriously injured in a reported single vehicle motorcycle crash on Harrington Sound Road in Smith’s parish, near the junction with Broken Hill Road around 7:40pm Thursday, January 19th had been discharged after receiving treatment in the hospital’s Intensive Care Unit.

Separately, at last check earlier today (Thursday, January 26th) the 18 year old Hamilton parish man seriously injured when the motorcycle he was riding collided with a car at the junction of North Shore Road and Store Hill in Smith’s parish around 3:45pm Friday, December 30th 2016 had been transferred from the hospital’s Intensive Care Unit to a general ward in stable condition.
