Police Actively Searching Various Locations for 14 Year Old Destiny Winters [Located]

Police officers are actively searching various locations for 14 year old Destiny Winters today (Friday, January 24th), after she left her designated Government Care Facility without permission around 9:15pm Thursday, January 23rd.

So far the teen has not been located. However, efforts to confirm Destiny’s whereabouts and wellbeing are ongoing.

Destiny is described as brown complexioned, approximately 5 feet 6 inches tall of medium build, weighing around 130 pounds with shoulder length curly hair.

She was last seen wearing a black jacket, army green pants, white socks and black slippers and is known to frequent locations in Pembroke including Fentons Drive, Parsons Road, St. Augustine Hill, Middletown, One Way Deepdale and The Glebe Road.

Anyone with any information on the whereabouts of 14 year old Destiny Winters is urged to immediately call police on 295-0011 or her designated Government Care Facility on 292-3699.

The public is reminded that harbouring a juvenile is an offence punishable under the law.

Update: Saturday, January 25th - Destiny Winters has been located and safely returned.

Two Injured in Reported Two Car Collision in Warwick Thursday

Around 8:10am Thursday, January 23rd police and fellow first responders were dispatched to a reported two car collision on Middle Road in Warwick, near the junction with St. Mary’s Road.

It appears that one car was being driven east on Middle Road and another car was being driven out of St. Mary’s Road to head west on Middle Road when the vehicles collided.

The driver of the westbound car, said to be an 81 year old Warwick woman as well as her passenger, said to be a 6 year old boy, were injured.

Both were transported to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment.

Apparently the driver of the eastbound car, said to be a 28 year old Warwick man, was not hurt.

The 81 year old woman is understood to have suffered a neck injury with pain to her head and at last check remained in hospital receiving medical care, while the 6 year old boy was treated at the hospital for swelling to his face and later discharged.

Both vehicles involved were damaged and traffic in the area was delayed for about an hour following the crash.

18 Year Old Jareel Myal Has Returned Home Safe & Well

Around 7:15am today (Friday, January 24th) police officers confirmed that 18 year old Jareel Myal had returned home safe and well. He was reported missing on Thursday night (January 23rd).

The Bermuda Police Service would like to thank the public for their assistance in locating him.
