Pedestrian Injured in Hamilton Parish Collision [Updated]

Police and other first responders attended a report of a road traffic collision that took place on North Shore Road near Trinity Church Road at 3:19pm.

It appears that a car hit a pedestrian resulting in the male victim being taken to the hospital with what appears to be head injuries.

The road has been cordoned off whilst the scene is being processed by the relevant police officers.

Update: The 62 year old man is listed in critical condition as a result of this collision.

Update: Friday, January 18th - At last check around 11:20am today (January 18th) the 62 year old man – said to be from Hamilton parish – seriously injured when a car struck him as he walked along North Shore Road in Hamilton parish near Trinity Church Road around 3pm Thursday, remained listed in critical condition in the hospital’s Intensive Care Unit.

The driver involved, said to be a 41 year old St. George’s woman, was arrested on suspicion of impaired driving and later released on police bail.

In addition, the car has been impounded, pending further inquiries.
