Overturned Car in Sandys Parish [Updated]

Around 2:50pm Wednesday, August 7th police received a report of an overturned car on Somerset Road in Sandys parish near the Somerset MarketPlace.

Early information suggests that no one was seriously injured.

However, traffic delays are expected in the area while the scene is processed.

Update: Thursday, August 8th - Around 2:50pm Wednesday, August 7th police received a report of an overturned car on Somerset Road in Sandys parish near the junction with Cambridge Road.

It now appears that the car involved was being driven west along Somerset Road when it struck a wall and overturned in the vicinity of Somerset MarketPlace.

The driver and sole occupant, said to be a 58 year old Sandys parish man, was not hurt but attended the hospital as a precaution.

There were traffic delays in the area for approximately an hour until the damaged car was towed away.
