Ongoing Witness Appeal: Cash Stolen From Sandys Laundrette

Inquiries are ongoing into a reported theft from a laundrette in the plaza adjacent to The Market Place in Sandys parish that occurred around 2:55pm Monday, November 17th.

Apparently two unarmed male offenders quickly entered the premises and made good their escape with a quantity of cash.

Anyone who may have seen two men acting suspiciously in The Market Place, Dollar Depot Sandys parish area between 2:30pm and 3pm Monday should contact the Criminal Investigation Unit on telephone number 295-0011 or the independent and confidential Crime Stoppers hotline 800-8477.

Police Car Involved in Damage Only Collision With Water Truck

Around 9:15am on Monday, November 17th a two vehicle collision occurred on Somerset Road in Sandys parish, near the junction with West Side Road.

Initial information suggested that a police car, a water truck and a bus were involved; however it has since been confirmed that only the police car and water truck collided as both vehicles were being driven along Somerset Road. There were no reported injuries but both vehicles were damaged.

The police car was apparently responding to an incident at the time with its emergency equipment activated.
