Murder of Jahkoby Smith

The Bermuda Police Service can now confirm the death of 21 year-old Jahkoby Smith.
Around 7:15pm on Saturday 29th July, Mr. Smith was fatally stabbed after he was involved in an altercation that took place at the West End Sailboat Club, Sandy’s. At that time, there was a wake being held for the late Jahcari Francis.
Police and EMT’s rendered assistance to Mr. Smith at the scene; however, he was pronounced dead shortly after his arrival at King Edward Memorial Hospital.
A second man was transported to KEMH via private car, who was also stabbed during the same altercation. That man has been treated and released from hospital care.
We continue to appeal for witnesses to this incident. We would like to speak to anyone who may have seen something or heard something, particularly, if you were at the West End Sailboat Club or in the general vicinity, around the time of the incident.
