Police and first responders attended a report of a road traffic collision that took place on North Shore Road in Devonshire right at the Barkers Hill round-a-bout at 5:33pm today (Monday).

Details are still emerging but it appears that a male on a motorcycle collided with a water truck.

The male was conveyed to the hospital via ambulance where he is listed in critical condition.

The area has been cordoned off while the relevant officers process the scene.

Any witnesses to this collision are asked to contact police on 295-0011.

Update: Police can confirm the death of a 49 year old man who died as a result of a road traffic collision that took place on North Shore Road and Barkers Hill round-a-bout at 5:33pm tonight (Monday).

An investigation into the incident is now underway and no other information will be forthcoming until the next of kin has been notified.
