Motorcyclist Injured: Reported Two Vehicle Sandys Parish Collision

Around 11pm Saturday, May 27th police and first responders attended a reported two vehicle collision on Somerset Road in Sandys parish.

It appears that a garbage truck and a motorcyclist collided as the truck driver attempted to turn into the Somerset MarketPlace parking area.

The injured rider, believed to be a 33 year old Sandys parish man, was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment of his injuries, which initial information suggested were not life threatening.

Inquiries continue and any witnesses are asked to contact the main police telephone number 295-0011.

Condition Update Monday, May 29: At last check earlier this morning (May 29th) the 33 year old male motorcyclist believed to be from Sandys parish injured in a collision with a garbage truck around 11pm Saturday, May 27th on Somerset Road in Sandys parish outside Somerset MarketPlace had been treated at the hospital and discharged.

Reported Two Vehicle Damage Only Paget Collision

Around 10:45am Friday, May 26th police and first responders were dispatched to a reported two vehicle collision on Middle Road in Paget.

It appears that two light trucks being driven in opposite directions collided in the vicinity of Bostock Hill West, with one of the vehicles also striking a tree.

Both vehicles were damaged. However, there were no injuries reported.
