Investigations Into Separate Collisions in Hamilton Parish & Devonshire

At 8pm on Saturday 31st March it appears that a private motor car was travelling east along North Shore Road near the junction with Somers Hill Road in Hamilton Parish when it was overtaken by a police car who was attempting to stop another vehicle. As a result, the driver of the private car pulled to the nearside and made contact with the barrier fence causing minor damage to their car. No one was injured and the police vehicle was not damaged. An investigation into the collision is now underway and anyone who may have seen the collision is asked to contact police on 295-0011.

Meantime, at 1:30am on Sunday 1st April a police vehicle on general patrol was being driven west along Middle Road, Devonshire when the driver of the police vehicle collided with a wall. No one was seriously injured and there was moderate damage to the police car and the wall. An investigation into the collision is underway and anyone who may have witnessed the collision is asked to contact police on 295-0011.
