Sun, 2016-11-27

Around 6:50pm on Friday, November 25th police and first responders were dispatched to a reported two vehicle collision on South Road in Paget, near the junction with Honey Hill.

It now appears that two male motorcyclists riding in opposite directions collided.

Both were injured and taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment.

Apparently one of the individuals involved, a 52 year old Warwick man, sustained a fractured finger and lacerations to his ankle while the other, believed to be a 38 year old Devonshire man, was said to have sustained abrasions to his face and hands.

However, information suggests that the younger rider declined further medical care at the hospital.

Traffic diversions were in place for approximately two hours following the collision.

Inquiries continue and any witnesses to this incident should contact the main police telephone number 295-0011.
