ICU Condition Updates

At last check earlier today (March 20th) the 29 year old Pembroke man injured when the motorcycle he was riding struck a wall around 12:30am Thursday, March 16th on Fairyland Road in Pembroke, near the junction with Fairyland Lane was in stable condition in the hospital’s Intensive Care Unit.

Separately, at last check earlier today (March 20th) the 19 year old Pembroke man injured in a reported disturbance that apparently took place along the Railway Trail in Warwick near Pearman’s Hill around 7:45pm Tuesday, March 14th remained in the hospital’s Intensive Care Unit in stable condition.

Single Vehicle Car Crash in Paget

Around 2:20pm on Saturday, March 18th police and first responders attended a reported single vehicle car crash on Middle Road in Paget near the junction with Chapel Road.

It appears that a 70 year old Devonshire woman was travelling along Middle Road when the vehicle she was driving struck a utility pole, causing damage to the car and apparently minor injuries.

The injured Devonshire woman was initially tended to by Bermuda Fire & Rescue Service personnel before being transported via ambulance to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital, where she was treated and discharged later that same day.

The vehicle involved was subsequently towed from the scene and witnesses that have not already come forward should contact the main police telephone number 295-0011.

Upcoming Community Outreach Clinic

The Bermuda Police Service Central Community Action Team will be holding a community outreach clinic on Thursday, 23rd March 2017 from 2pm until 6pm at Gorham’s Ltd. on St. John’s Road in Pembroke.

This clinic will provide members of the public the opportunity to engage Community Action Team officers to express their concerns and receive information on Neighbourhood Watch groups, personal safety and crime prevention.
