Guest Worker Critically Injured in Collision

Around 6:50pm on Sunday [July 26], police responded to a reported collision which took place on South Road in Warwick just east of Warwick Long Bay.
It was reported that a 28 year old man guest worker traveling on a livery cycle,  was  travelling east on South Road in Warwick 10 meters east of Warwick Long Bay when he collided with a car travelling in the opposite direction. As a result the 28 year old man was taken to KEMH, where he is presently in the Intensive Care Unit, listed in critical condition.
Police are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this collision, to call 295-0011.
 
Meanwhile, around 6:20am this morning [July 27] police responded to a single vehicle collision on Christ Church Lane near the junction with Middle Road in Devonshire.
Although the circumstances surrounding this collision are unclear at this time, it is believed that a taxi may have been travelling north along Christ Church Lane before veering of the side of the road and colliding with a bus shelter.
Police are interested in speaking with the driver of this taxi and are also appealing to anyone who may have witnessed or has information regarding this incident to call 295-0011.
