Collision on Middle Road in Southampton

Police responded to a report of a road traffic collision that took place on Wednesday February 14th at 8:09am on Middle Road in Southampton in the area of Five Star Island. It appears that a car was travelling in an easterly direction along Middle Road near Five Star Island and a van was traveling in the opposite direction and one of the vehicles crossed the yellow line resulting in a collision.
Both drivers of the vehicles were taken to the hospital with injuries, one with arm and upper body injuries and the other driver received arm and head injuries. None of the injuries appear to be life threatening and both vehicles were extensively damaged. An investigation in to the incident is underway and any witnesses are asked to contact the Roads Policing Unit on 295-0011.
