Car Collides With Regiment Soldier in Hamilton Parish

Around 11:15am on Monday, October 20th first responders attended a reported collision on Harrington Sound Road in Hamilton parish, near the junction with Quarry Road.

It appears that a male Bermuda Regiment soldier was directing motorists in the area, as traffic flow had been reduced to one lane while the other lane was being cleared of debris, when a car collided with him.

The 29 year old Devonshire man was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment of a leg injury and later discharged.

Three Vehicle Collision in Sandys Parish

Around 6pm on Monday, October 20th first responders attended a reported three vehicle collision at the junction of Mangrove Bay Road and Ferry Lane in Sandys parish involving a motorcycle and two cars.

The motorcyclist, a 49 year old Sandys parish man, was injured and taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment.

He was later discharged. There were no other injuries reported.

All three vehicles were damaged. Inquiries regarding this collision are ongoing and any witnesses should contact PC Lesa Stovell at the Somerset Police Station on telephone number 234-1010.
