Boy Injured in Motocross Cycle Crash [Updated]

Around 2:25pm Sunday, June 4th police and first responders were dispatched to a reported motocross cycle crash on West Pembroke Primary School property.

Details are limited at this time.

However initial information suggests that the rider, believed to be an 8 year old boy, was injured and taken to hospital via ambulance for treatment.

The injured boy is expected to be admitted to the Intensive Care Unit and a further update on his condition will be provided in due course.

Inquiries are underway and witnesses are asked to contact the main police telephone number 295-0011.

Update: At last check earlier this morning (June 5th) the 8 year old boy injured in a motocross cycle crash on West Pembroke Primary School field around 2:25pm Sunday, June 4th was in critical condition in the hospital’s Intensive Care Unit.

It is now understood that the boy struck a wall while riding the motocross cycle on the school field.

Inquiries continue and any witnesses are asked to contact the Criminal Investigation Department on 247-1744.

Reported Disturbance at RAA Club

Around 2:50am Sunday, June 4th police and first responders were dispatched to a reported disturbance at RAA Club on Grenadier Lane in St. George’s.

Few details are currently available.

However, initial information suggests that one man was punched and kicked by several men while an assailant brandishing a bladed article confronted two other men, injuring them.

Apparently the man that was punched and kicked was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment while one of the men injured by the assailant brandishing the bladed article was taken to hospital by a private vehicle.

A condition update of the injured individuals that attended the hospital will be provided in due course.

The scene was processed by the relevant police personnel and inquiries continue.

Update: At last check earlier this morning (June 5th) two men that attended hospital for treatment after being injured at the Royal Artillery Association (RAA) Club in St. George’s around 2:50am Sunday, June 4th – believed to be a 49 year old St. George’s man and a 34 year old Pembroke man – were treated and later discharged.
