Around 8:30pm on Wednesday, October 29th police received a report of a suspected impaired driver traveling along South Road in Paget.

Officers responded to the report and subsequently located a car being driven in an erratic manner near the Elbow Beach hotel.

The car was eventually caused to stop and the driver, a 75 year old Pembroke man, spoken to.

During the interaction with officers, the Pembroke man appeared to be intoxicated and was arrested on suspicion of impaired driving.

A court appearance is anticipated in due course.
