Arrest Made in Connection With M. Soares & Son Robbery

An 18 year old male has been arrested in connection with the reported armed robbery of M. Soares and Son on Spanish Point Road in Pembroke around 3pm Tuesday, September 20th.

Investigation Continues: Valley Road, Paget Burglary

The investigation continues into a burglary that occurred at a Valley Road, Paget residence around 10:30am Wednesday.

The four males arrested in connection remain in police custody pending further inquiries. They range in age from 21 to 25 years old.

While it was initially stated that the occupant, a 38 year old Paget man, was taken to hospital for treatment after being assaulted by the intruders, the Paget resident actually only required treatment at the scene by ambulance EMTs.

Update: Reported Serious Two Motorcycle Collision in Southampton

Around 1:25pm on Wednesday, September 21st police and first responders attended a reported serious two vehicle collision on Middle Road in Southampton near the junction with Avocado Lane.

It appears that two motorcyclists were overtaking a van in the vicinity of Jews Bay when the first, carrying a pillion passenger, slid out and collided with the roadside railing. Apparently the second motorcyclist, in an attempt to avoid the first, also slid out on the wet road.

All three individuals were injured and taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment.

At last check the pillion passenger, an 18 year old Sandys parish man, was in stable condition at the hospital’s Intensive Care Unit while the two riders, an 18 year old Southampton man and a 22 year old Warwick man, had been discharged.

Visitor Injured in Rental Cycle Crash Recovering on General Ward

At last check 7:30am today (Thursday, September 22nd) the 42 year old American male visitor injured in a reported single vehicle rental cycle crash on South Road in Paget near the junction with St. Paul’s Lane around 8pm Monday had been transferred from ICU to a general ward at the hospital.
