Advisory Regarding Recent ‘Chain Snatching’ Incidents

The Bermuda Police Service would like to advise the public of an increase in reported ‘chain snatching’ incidents.

It appears that the offenders travel by motorcycle and accost lone motorcyclists, before fleeing with the stolen jewellery.

No injuries have been reported.

As a result of these latest incidents, it is recommended that those wearing necklaces tuck them in and be vigilant for any unknown or suspicious individuals approaching them.
