16 Year Old Male Hospitalised After Stabbing Incident [Updated]

Shortly before 5:45 p.m. yesterday, Friday 7th May, Police and Emergency Medical Services personnel were dispatched to a reported stabbing incident at an area opposite the Southampton Rangers field on South Road, Southampton.

Upon arrival it was ascertained the victim, a sixteen-year-old male, suffered stab wounds to the torso, but was conscious and breathing.

He was attended to at the scene by EMTs and transported via ambulance to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital, for treatment to his injuries, which were described as life threatening.

The suspect in this matter is described as a dark brown complexioned, black male with a short haircut, wearing teal coloured pants and a dark top.

There were a number of individuals who reportedly witnessed this incident and while investigators have already spoken with some of them, there are others they urgently need to hear from as they look to bring whomerver is responsible for this brazen act of violence before the courts.

A young man is now in hospital being treated for life threatening injuries. Someone knows who is responsible and we urge you to please come forward and tell us what you know.
